Prepare a Georgian banking application
Personal and business banking needs should be considered separately. StartGE advertises application support for individuals, IEs and LLCs, including a remote personal-account route for eligible applicants. ExploreGE helps you explain which account you need and why. The provider can then review the relevant process before you spend time collecting documents.
Explain the money flow
Prepare a plain-language description of what the business does, who pays it, where customers and suppliers are located, and the expected use of the account. Ask the bank or adviser for the current document request for your circumstances. The objective is a complete and consistent application, not a promise that a particular institution will accept it.
Prepare a useful application file
- Identify the company, owners, director and person who will operate the account.
- Describe the activity and provide existing contracts, invoices or other evidence when requested.
- Explain expected currencies, payment destinations and account-access needs.
- Ask who must attend, how identity checks are completed and which documents need translation.
Once an account is available, agree how statements and transaction records will reach the accountant. Keep the bank’s request distinct from company registration: documents sufficient for one procedure may not complete the other.
A useful starting brief
- Whether the account is personal, for an IE or for an LLC.
- Your residence country and the proposed account use.
- The business activity, if the application is for a company.
- Expected payment countries and currencies in general terms.
From enquiry to a clear scope
The bank makes its own account-opening decision. Ask about attendance, identification, required evidence, bank charges and the provider’s separate fee before starting. A route described for a personal account should not be assumed to apply to a company. Do not put account numbers, balances or copies of identity documents into a public enquiry.
Keep planning
Good to know.
Is bank approval guaranteed?
No. Assistance with preparation does not replace the bank’s own identification and compliance review.
Can an application be discussed before company formation?
Yes. Explain the planned business and ask which banking considerations should influence the preparation sequence.
What should I explain about the business before a banking appointment?
Describe the activity, ownership, customers, suppliers, expected payment countries and currencies. Provide evidence requested by the particular bank through the appropriate channel.
